Job title: Senior Project Manager - Banking Program Consolidation
About the Role The client is a leading global financial institution and Luxoft is hiring a Senior Project Manager to drive the consolidation of its Banking and Investment Banking arms. You will oversee end-to-end coordination, governance, and delivery oversight of middle-office initiatives, ensuring alignment with regional risk priorities, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations. You will also ensure Murex enhancements meet business, risk, and regulatory requirements and support scalable operations for future growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end coordination, governance, and delivery oversight of middle-office initiatives across markets and functions, aligned with risk priorities and quality standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, providing strategic direction and influencing key program decisions, driving executive-level alignment across business, technology, and operations.
- Manage delivery across multiple vendors, system integrators, and internal teams; ensure accountability and quality across all parties; foster collaboration across geographically distributed teams.
- Ensure project framework, processes, and controls are followed and aligned with SEIBI program; validate WBS across Markets, CASA, DATA and consolidate at release level; keep consolidated WBS up to date.
- Planning & Coordination: harmonize inter-dependencies across Markets, CASA & DATA; run regular meetings with APCF PM, Markets/CASA/DATA SI PMs and stakeholders; provide early visibility on upcoming activities.
- Cost and Timeline management: monitor cost usage (against AFA) and ensure no impact to release timelines; identify potential delays and develop mitigation plans.
- Stakeholder engagement & Status reporting: engage release-level stakeholders, consolidate project status, prepare RAG at release level, maintain communication matrices; facilitate governance meetings and prepare slides for SEIBI PSC/PMO; attend SEIBI PMO meetings; organize ad-hoc meetings as needed; present release-level changes in CCB and secure approvals.
- Deliverables & Signoff: ensure release-level items are approved in RDA and obtain required sign-offs.
- Risk/Issue management: assess impact of Markets/CASA/DATA risks on release; maintain release-level risk registers; identify inter-stream dependencies and cross-stream risks; report to steering committee.
What We're Looking For
- 20+ years of experience in banking project implementations, with at least 10+ years in project/program management.
- Strong understanding of building data layers for reporting; subject matter expert in CASA and DATA.
- Ability to understand tri-party dependencies and manage risks and issues effectively.
- Technical oversight: hands-on experience with Databricks/data platforms/reporting layers; post-trade systems such as Murex, Calypso, Finastra; integration patterns (APIs, messaging, real-time & batch).
- Ability to engage with architects, engineers and BAs on solution design; ensure technology solutions meet scalability, regulatory and business needs.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making and stakeholder management in fast-paced environments; strong problem-solving skills; experience with Jira and Scrum.
- Nice to have PMP or Agile certification.
