Senior Project Engineering Manager

About the Role Senior Project Engineering Manager with an electrical background to lead and coordinate engineering components for Grid, Substation and Balance of Plant on BESS projects across the EMEA region. The role focuses on directing multi-discipline engineering teams, managing budgets and schedules, and maintaining strong client interfaces to ensure successful project delivery. Based in Glasgow, UK with travel to project sites as needed and a hybrid work arrangement. What You'll Do

• Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians on Grid, Substation and BESS projects in the EMEA region.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff; identify developmental growth opportunities.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, and client/project management communications in support of proposals and projects.
• Interface with the Client on technical aspects of the project and manage changes to scope, contract terms, or subcontract contracts under supervision from the Project Manager.
• Provide technical guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and BV policies.
• Assist in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards.
• Coordinate with all other internal/external team members on complex projects.
• Define project schedules.
• Actively manage project changes directly with the Client with supervision from the Project Manager.
• Oversee performance management, career planning, recognition, learning and development, and corrective actions. What We're Looking For
• Experience leading engineering teams on Grid, Substation and BESS projects; ability to lead multi-discipline teams.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and client-facing project management skills, including proposals.
• Knowledge of engineering codes, design guides, BV policies and standards.
• Based in Glasgow, UK or willing to work from Glasgow; some travel to project sites; comfortable with a hybrid work arrangement. Nice to Have
