About the Role Senior Project Engineer - Overhead Transmission provides technical leadership and direction for an overhead transmission design team on projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV. The role includes mentoring team members and serving as the primary client contact, with a focus on quality control and efficient project delivery. What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership, direction, and support for an overhead transmission design team on projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the client
- Implement quality control processes
- Support proposal development
- Lead coordination of project requirements and schedule needs across disciplines
- Identify and communicate technical risks associated with projects
- Oversight of production work required to meet deliverable milestones
- Identify, develop, and communicate processes and tools to increase efficiency across the team and department
- Create, improve, facilitate and teach training courses to the project team and department
- Other duties as assigned
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and provide technical leadership, guidance, and instruction to project teams What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (7 years of direct project engineering experience for Design-only and EPC projects required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Ability to effectively lead project teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in scheduling and budgeting
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
- Consulting or utility experience preferred Nice to Have
