We are recruiting a seasoned Senior Lead Project Architect / Senior Lead Technical Designer to join a design practice delivering complex hospitality and destination projects. You will lead projects from concept through tender and construction documentation, protecting design integrity, technical quality and constructability at every stage.

This is a senior leadership role. You will be the main point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and internal design teams, and you will mentor and supervise junior architects and technical staff while setting the standard for QA/QC across the studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial concept through tender and construction documentation

• Act as the main contact for clients, consultants, contractors and design teams on design and technical issues

• Implement and monitor the Design Management Plan and support Project Managers with the Project Execution Plan

• Translate conceptual designs into practical, buildable solutions, refining material assemblies, façade systems and construction detailing

• Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, fire safety and zoning regulations

• Produce and manage accurate, coordinated drawing sets, and create and maintain BIM models (primarily Revit), including clash detection and consultant model integration

• Assemble permit packages for authority-having-jurisdiction (AHJ) submissions and guide clients through permitting timelines and requirements

• Track milestones, drawing logs, RFIs, submittals and design change trackers, and prepare meeting minutes and weekly progress reports

• Implement QA/QC protocols, run technical compliance and QA/QC audits, and approve final deliverables before submission

• Provide construction support, including shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, change orders, ASIs and site inspections

• Lead through value engineering, design revisions and coordination changes without compromising design quality

• About You

• 15-17 years of professional architectural experience, with a proven record of leading projects

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution

• Licensed or registered architect (AIA, RIBA, ARB or equivalent, as applicable by region)

• Extensive hospitality and destination design experience, including hospitality programming, FOH/BOH planning and brand standards

• Experience across resorts, hospitality, residential and commercial projects in multiple geographies

• Proficient in Revit (preferred), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and project management tools

• Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, construction methods and sustainability standards

• Comfortable working in multicultural settings and adapting your communication style to international clients, consultants and teams

• Precise and thorough, with a collaborative, mentoring approach and the ability to navigate conflict constructively
