Job title: Senior Program Manager

About the Role Senior Program Manager with a proven background in managing satellite ground segment programs. You will lead cross-functional teams, liaise with customers, and balance requirements with budget and schedule to deliver achievable missions.

What You'll Do

  • Develops bids and proposals, including customer liaison, solution development, cost estimation, and review.
  • Negotiates with the customer on key requirements, objectives, funding, resources, and methods while balancing budget and schedule with company interests.
  • Provides guidance, direction, and decision-making to the program team.
  • Maintains program visibility at the customer level through regular technical, management, and progress meetings.
  • Maintains detailed program schedules and tracks program progress.
  • Assesses costs-to-date and estimates-to-complete; develops workaround plans to meet cost and schedule objectives.
  • Ensures staffing levels and competencies match program needs; coordinates resources across the organization.
  • Negotiates with line managers and other programs for conflicting resource requirements, keeping the company's interests in mind.
  • Develops a cadre of subcontractors and suppliers with supply chain to meet life-cycle requirements.
  • Identifies and manages program risks and opportunities.
  • Maintains hands-on control through regular program reviews and staff meetings.
  • Keeps senior management informed with monthly program reviews and briefings as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 12+ years of program/project management or leadership in a related technical field.
  • Experience with negotiations, risk management, contract management, subcontract management, financials, US ITAR regulations.
  • Excellent people and leadership skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The compensation range for this position is $135,000 - $186,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
