About the Role At AIG, we are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk. This Senior Program Manager will lead underwriting, marketing and portfolio management for each assigned program, reporting directly to the Senior Director. The role requires a highly motivated, results-oriented problem solver who is flexible, eager to learn on the job, and committed to maintaining a can-do attitude, with a focus on growing profitable programs and shaping portfolio strategy. What You'll Do

  • Develop and negotiate business plans for each assigned program, including plans for new business, renewal rate management, and expected retentions to achieve profit objectives.
  • Participate in Underwriting Quality Reviews and conduct additional file reviews as needed.
  • Position program growth in rate-adequate jurisdictions and ensure technically correct pricing.
  • Coordinate and chair Stewardship meetings for assigned programs.
  • Identify and market new products to strengthen portfolios and add value for clients.
  • Incorporate data and analytics to closely manage programs and achieve profitability targets.
  • Monitor renewals, rate targets vs. actuals, retentions, trends and lost business monthly to ensure attainment of business plans.
  • Resolve commission exceptions identified for assigned programs.
  • Understand each assigned program: industries, exposures, eligibility, and coverages; adjust as needed to minimize adverse exposures.
  • Identify PA-level training opportunities and guide Program Administrators in risk selection, pricing and coverage in line with AIG authorities.
  • Manage the authority delegated to underwriters and oversee PA peer reviews, UQR audits and stewardship meetings.
  • Develop working knowledge of AIG operating systems (rating and policy issuance) at the PA level.
  • Understand, manage and minimize AAL for each program and maintain data feeds in required formats and frequency.
  • Develop line-of-business expertise for assigned programs and identify trends to protect portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Accounting, Claims, Operations, Program Development, Risk Management and Underwriting as necessary.
  • Oversee implementation of new business programs, coordinating with Operations, IT and other functions.
  • Maintain industry knowledge, market intelligence and competitor analysis through external conferences and meetings.
  • Work with Product Development to address policy form enhancements, rule and rate changes.
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain strong relationships with Program Administrators through on-site visits and conference calls.
