Senior Production Service Developer

Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is looking for a Senior Production Service Developer to help build, operate, and improve the production systems behind our cloud services.

You’ll work across software, infrastructure, and operations—designing scalable solutions, troubleshooting complex production issues, improving service health, and automating how systems are deployed and managed.

This role is well suited to an engineer who enjoys solving production problems, working across distributed systems, and improving the reliability and scalability of cloud services.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and improve production infrastructure, platforms, and cloud services.

• Design and implement scalable solutions for fast-changing environments.

• Investigate production issues, debug code, identify performance bottlenecks, and perform root-cause analysis.

• Build automation and enhancements that improve monitoring, testing, and operational efficiency.

• Partner with engineering teams on system design, architecture, and production readiness.

• Support pre-production testing, release validation, and post-change verification.

• Conduct code and architecture reviews and help resolve scalability and performance issues.

• Improve service health, resiliency, and operational processes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.

• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

• What You’ll Bring

• This role is open only to Singapore Citizens, as the scope of work involves government projects that require citizenship for clearance purposes.

• Strong experience in production engineering, software development, systems engineering, or cloud operations.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across applications and infrastructure.

• Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and network architecture.

• Programming or scripting experience with a focus on automation.

• Experience with infrastructure software, deployment, monitoring, and testing.

• Good understanding of server architecture, scalability, and system reliability.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across engineering teams.

• Strong communication skills and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum Job Qualifications Education and/or Experience:

• 8 years of experience in application of server architecture, system administration, software development, or cloud application delivery

• OR

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related field AND 4 years of experience in application of server architecture, system administration, software development, cloud application delivery, operations, or related field.

Job Skills:

• Distributed Systems Demonstrated ability in or knowledge of distributed systems, including designing or managing scalable, secure, and highly available software systems.
• Network Architecture Demonstrated ability in or knowledge of network architecture, including designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure.
• Infrastructure System Software Demonstrated ability to deploy and administer infrastructure software solutions for operational excellence.
• Cloud Computing Demonstrated ability in or knowledge of cloud computing, including deploying, managing, and securing cloud environments and applications.

Budget Experience:

• 1 year of experience working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

• Preferred Job Qualifications Education and/or Experience:

• 9 years of experience in application of server architecture, system administration, software development, or cloud application delivery

• OR

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related field AND 5 years of experience in application of server architecture, system administration, software development, cloud application delivery, operations, or related field. Interaction with Leadership:

• 1 year of experience interacting with leadership (e.g., Director level and above). Presentation Experience:

• 1 year of experience developing and delivering presentations to management.
