Job title: Senior Product & Strategy Analyst, Affinity
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Product & Strategy Analyst to support Affinity insurance product strategy and development in the Canadian market. You will lead product and benefit reviews, conduct market research, and help develop client materials and proposals for credit card embedded insurance, travel insurance, and other personal lines.
What You'll Do
- Lead insurance product and benefit reviews within consulting engagements
- Conduct research and provide analysis, key insights, and recommendations related to product strategy, new product development, channel delivery, and policy language review and enhancement
- Develop and deliver client materials, market research, presentations, workplans and related deliverables
- Collaborate with actuarial and analytical team resources to support broader insights into client challenges and opportunities
- Support overall project management for engagements to ensure integration across the team and timely delivery
- Provide ongoing and ad hoc support to other senior consulting team members on various engagements
- Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements
- Support new business prospecting and the development of proposals
What We're Looking For
- University degree in a related discipline
- 3+ years of relevant working experience
- Experience with one or more insurance product lines: Travel, embedded credit card benefits, creditor insurance, home & auto, pet health, life/health benefits, or related
- Hands-on experience in product management, competitive research, strategy development, market research, emerging trends, new product development, channel management, distribution, and planning cycles
- Experience in marketing, customer research, customer communications, digital content, contact center operations, etc.
- Claims and underwriting reviews, policy language writing or reviews, insurance contracts
- Ability to summarize complex details clearly, both orally and in writing
- Innovative thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge the status quo
- Strong work ethic, multi-tasking, time management, and attention to detail
- Team-oriented, with good listening skills and integrity
- Power user of MS Office
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with personal insurance products and partnerships in Canada
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Experience with formal document reviews and construction of insurance contracts, certificates, and policy language
- Claims experience related to reviews, adjudication, or assessment
