About the Role The Senior Product Quality Manager will own Amazon's worldwide quality program for Hardline categories within Amazon Private Brands, providing SME-level quality leadership from the Shenzhen office. You will drive quality improvements, engage with contract manufacturers and ODMs, and help ensure customer satisfaction and product safety in a fast-moving, internet-speed environment.
What You'll Do
- Apply SME-level knowledge of quality strategies and processes in multiple product categories by engaging with contract manufacturers and Original design manufacturer
- Develop best-in-class New Product for Amazon Private Brands and drive continual improvement of processes and systems
- Manage New Product ramp post-launch and drive scalable business solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicate technical, quality, and process requirements to non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor and train vendors to improve quality and customer satisfaction performance
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields
- Knowledge of process improvement and quality measures
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and influencing colleagues, collaborators, and stakeholders
- Experience managing and delivering product quality or testing
- Experience in project and program management
- Experience identifying a customer need, building a product to meet that need, and launching that product
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience working with technical and non-technical business owners/partners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
- Experience in a highly agile environment
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
