About the Role The Senior Product Manager, Titlewave owns the B2C ecommerce experience and conversion strategy for Titlewave, Follett Software's educator-focused digital marketplace serving teachers and librarians across K-12 districts. They lead product strategy and execution to optimize customer journeys, drive purchasing decisions, and balance educator needs with content partner priorities. They will leverage data, experimentation, and customer research to continually improve conversion rates and overall educator adoption.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end ecommerce product experience from discovery to post-purchase; set vision, roadmap, prioritization, execution, and learning.
- Design and run experiments to optimize conversion metrics and reduce friction in the purchase journey.
- Balance the needs of educators and content partners; translate strategy into actionable requirements with Engineering, Design, Data; run A/B tests and iterate.
- Conduct ongoing customer research and gather market insights to understand educator needs and barriers to adoption.
- Define and communicate product strategy and success criteria; align teams around educator value and sustainable growth.
- Use analytics and experimentation to evaluate performance and inform prioritization.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, Sales, Marketing to refine messaging and ensure product-market fit.
- Identify dependencies/risks and resolve conflicts across functions.
- Represent product to internal stakeholders with roadmap updates and performance insights.
- Stay informed on K-12 trends and marketplace dynamics to maintain relevance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, education, or related field; equivalent experience. MBA or similar advanced business or product training is a plus.
- 5+ years of product management in ecommerce, SaaS, EdTech, or digital marketplaces with a track record of optimizing conversion and driving revenue.
- Demonstrated expertise in running A/B tests, designing experiments, and leveraging quantitative analysis to inform product decisions and measure business impact.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce fundamentals, including user psychology, conversion funnel optimization, pricing strategy, and marketplace dynamics.
- Ability to balance competing stakeholder needs with pragmatism—experience navigating tension between different customer segments or business models is highly valuable.
- Deep customer empathy with a proven ability to understand and articulate user pain points, translate them into product insights, and build solutions that resonate with educators.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance long-term vision with near-term execution and experimentation velocity.
- Proven success working cross-functionally and building alignment among Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and go-to-market stakeholders on shared goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels and present findings compellingly.
- Experience using data and analytics to assess product performance, identify conversion bottlenecks, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Familiarity with Agile product development practices and modern product management tools is preferred.
- Experience in K-12 education.
