Overall Scope:
The Senior Product Manager – Payment Solutions will lead the strategy, development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of enterprise payment, loyalty, outdoor payment, and forecourt solutions across North America. This role will translate customer, market, regulatory, and business needs into a clear product vision, prioritized roadmap, and executable delivery plan.
The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, discovery, and lifecycle management of outdoor payment terminal solutions across key verticals, including fuel dispensers, electric vehicle charging stations, car washes, and other unattended or self-service environments. In addition, the role will define, discover, and develop integrated forecourt solutions for strategic DFS customers, ensuring that their operational, commercial, and customer-experience needs are translated into scalable products, capabilities, and services.
The role will own end-to-end requirements gathering, product discovery, business-case development, roadmap creation, prioritization, and cross-functional execution. The position will work closely with strategic customers, commercial teams, engineering, architecture, compliance, operations, partners, and senior leadership to deliver secure, reliable, scalable, and commercially successful solutions.
This position will balance customer experience, technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, revenue growth, profitability, and market opportunity while ensuring that customer-specific innovations support the broader DFS product portfolio and long-term product strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision

Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, objectives, and success measures for assigned payment and loyalty products.

Align product strategy with company objectives, regional market opportunities, customer needs, and portfolio priorities.

Lead product lifecycle management from discovery and business-case development through launch, optimization, and retirement.

Identify opportunities for product convergence, platform reuse, standardization, and scalable regional capabilities.

Establish measurable objectives and key results, including adoption, revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, operational performance, and delivery outcomes.

Requirements Gathering and Product Discovery

Lead structured requirements-gathering activities with enterprise customers, internal product teams, commercial stakeholders, suppliers, channel partners, and end users.

Develop and maintain customer personas, journey maps, use cases, process flows, and product requirement documentation.

Translate business and customer needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.

Facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, design sessions, proof-of-concept reviews, and solution-validation activities.

Balance competing requirements across customer segments, regions, payment channels, and product lines.

Ensure requirements address usability, accessibility, performance, scalability, reliability, security, privacy, compliance, and operational supportability.

Establish traceability between customer needs, business objectives, product requirements, delivery outcomes, and measurable benefits.

Validate requirements with stakeholders and obtain appropriate business, technical, compliance, and operational approvals.

Roadmap Development and Prioritization

Build, own, and continuously refine the North America payment solutions roadmap.

Maintain short-, medium-, and long-term roadmap views covering capabilities, features, integrations, compliance mandates, technical enablers, and platform improvements.

Prioritize roadmap investments using customer value, strategic alignment, revenue potential, risk reduction, regulatory urgency, delivery effort, technical dependencies, and total cost of ownership.

Present roadmap recommendations and trade-offs to senior leadership and governance forums.

Coordinate roadmap dependencies across engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, operations, sales, marketing, and other product leaders.

Incorporate market requirements, customer commitments, payment-network changes, scheme mandates, certification timelines, and product lifecycle considerations into roadmap planning.

Monitor roadmap execution and adjust priorities based on changing market conditions, delivery performance, customer feedback, and business results.

Delivery Leadership and Agile Execution

Drive engineering priorities through Agile planning and Program Increment planning processes.

Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to define release objectives, scope, sequencing, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.

Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, system demonstrations, retrospectives, release planning, and dependency management.

Ensure product backlogs remain prioritized, actionable, and aligned with roadmap objectives.

Lead cross-functional resolution of scope, priority, dependency, quality, and delivery risks.

Coordinate product readiness across development, testing, certification, deployment, operations, training, and support.

Track delivery progress, risks, issues, decisions, and outcomes, escalating matters appropriately.

Ensure delivered capabilities meet agreed requirements and provide measurable customer and business value.

Customer and Stakeholder Leadership

Establish a consistent Voice of Customer program using interviews, advisory sessions, feedback analysis, usage data, and customer satisfaction insights.

Build trusted relationships with strategic customers, commercial teams, channel partners, payment providers, and internal stakeholders.

Represent customer and market needs in product, architecture, engineering, and executive discussions.

Facilitate executive-level communications on product strategy, roadmap progress, risks, investment decisions, and outcomes.

Influence without direct authority across geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.

Communicate complex technical, commercial, and regulatory topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Business Cases, Commercialization, and Financial Management

Identify and develop business cases for new products, features, integrations, and platform capabilities.

Quantify customer value, revenue opportunity, investment requirements, operating costs, risks, payback, and expected return on investment.

Partner with finance and commercial teams to develop product forecasts, investment proposals, pricing models, and profitability analyses.

Support packaging and pricing decisions using customer data, sales history, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and cost information.

Monitor product performance against revenue, margin, adoption, retention, cost, and customer-value targets.
