About the Role
We are hiring mission-driven senior product engineers to join the Grow squad. You’ll work across two lifecycle phases—scaling a global success and building a new frontier from scratch—across the Assets and Investments teams to advance the Wise Account as a universal financial hub.
What You'll Do
- Architect and deliver a high-availability Yield Engine that manages billions in assets with bankruptcy-protected custody and near-instant liquidity.
- Scale a product already live in the UK, EU, Singapore, and Australia.
- Contribute to the Assets team (current account with real assets) and the Investments team (greenfield single-stock investing and tax-advantaged pots like ISAs/SIPs).
- Collaborate with PMs, Designers, and Analysts to decide what to build, not just how.
- Own critical components, ensure data integrity, and fix what you break in a fast-moving, high-concurrency system.
What We're Looking For
- Strong product mindset and passion for user experience; data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points.
- Great communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones delivering customer value.
- Experience developing web applications and distributed systems in production.
- Experience with design/architectural patterns; writing clean, performant, well-tested code.
- Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot; experience with a messaging system like Kafka is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Greenfield development experience and ability to define new technical foundations, brokerage infrastructure, and trading interfaces.
- Familiarity with brokerage/trading systems is beneficial.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: £111,000 - £145,000 + RSUs.
