About this role
Senior Product Designer who owns the end-to-end experience of the platform across the website, apps, smart-TV and internal tools: the research that informs it, the design system that holds it together, and the quality of what ships.
Responsibilities
- Experience & design-system ownership: Own the look, feel and usability across the website, apps, smart-TV and internal tools, and maintain a consistent, reusable design system.
- User research: Plan and run proportionate user research (interviews, contextual observation and usability testing) to understand users, their contexts, constraints and needs.
- Synthesis & journey mapping: Analyse and synthesise qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights, user needs, journey maps and design hypotheses.
- Interaction & prototyping: Design, prototype and iterate end-to-end journeys, layouts and interaction flows, producing working prototypes (Figma or front-end code) that meet good web standards, including accessibility.
- Interface content: Create and review clear, plain-language interface copy that is accurate, accessible and aligned to the agreed style guide.
- Ship with engineering: Work closely with engineers to ship designs and review the quality of what is built against intent.
- Analytics-led iteration: Use analytics, performance data and research to shape design decisions and improve the product after launch.
Knowledge & skills required:
- Shipped portfolio: A strong portfolio of shipped web and mobile product design.
- Design-system fluency: Fluency in Figma and modern design-system practice.
- Research & synthesis: Able to plan research and turn findings into insights, journeys and design decisions.
- Prototyping craft: Produces working prototypes that meet good web standards, including accessibility.
- Independent operator: The independence and seniority to own design as the only designer on the team.
