About this role
About the Role Senior Product Designer at Secfi in Amsterdam. You’ll join a small, fast-growing design function as the second designer, shaping how design works and owning real product surfaces from day one. This is a senior IC role with significant autonomy, reporting to a manager who values craft and design leadership. What You'll Do
- Shape and own core product surfaces including Maeve, Secfi’s AI assistant for equity planning and wealth strategy, focusing on how it shows up, when it speaks, and how trust is built in an interface where an LLM advises on money.
- Design the Portfolio value tracker—adding real-time data signals, market news, and AI-generated insights to a live surface while keeping the information digestible.
- Improve onboarding, advisory flows, and existing surfaces; contribute brand moments like landing pages, campaign visuals, and pitch slides (roughly 10% of time).
- Collaborate with a small design team; help define how design works as the function grows; own surfaces from day one and evolve the design system.
- Work end-to-end from discovery to ship; communicate clearly with product and engineering, without heavy art direction. What We're Looking For
- Senior product design craft with shipped work where quality mattered (SaaS, consumer, or complex tools); you can walk us through the thinking behind the work, not just the screens.
- End-to-end ownership: able to run projects from discovery to ship; comfortable being one of two designers on the team.
- Systems thinking: design with future screens in mind, extending the design system while knowing when to break it.
- Strong curiosity about AI: use AI tools in your workflow and seek new ones; excited to design for AI products (Maeve and the tracker).
- Based in or able to be in Amsterdam; fluent in English; Dutch not required.
- Extra points for: financial product experience; brand/marketing range; design systems experience. Nice to Have
- Financial product experience or ability to hold complexity in money-related products.
- Experience designing for or scaling design systems. Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary €80k–€110k, plus equity. Salary is listed in base currency; compensation is competitive.
- Benefits: competitive total compensation, comprehensive benefits, hybrid work, 2.5 days/week in the Amsterdam office, lunch on office days, yearly trip to NYC office, and a culture that values autonomy, craft, and recognition.
