Job title: Senior Product Designer
About the Role As a designer at Samsara, you will drive design and execution for strategic initiatives, delivering end-to-end experiences that impact customers and support key business objectives. You will shape the daily experience of our customers across industries like transportation and logistics, construction, and government by collaborating with Product and Engineering to identify needs and deliver value. You will engage directly with customers to incorporate feedback and influence strategy.
What You'll Do
- Lead large, ambiguous projects, shipping high-impact designs that unlock significant customer and business value.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution.
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform strategy.
- Influence the design team through mentorship and help shape our culture.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as the company scales globally.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web and mobile.
- Proven expertise in interaction and visual design.
- A strong portfolio and/or case studies with quantified impact (required).
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools to accelerate workflows.
- Track record of strategic influence and shipping impact.
- Ability to engage with customers for research and strategy.
- Thrives in iterative, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent experience working with cross-functional partners.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary: USD 137,445 – 231,000.
- Eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance.
