About the Role Take on a new challenge and apply your costing and electrical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates to shape cost-efficient solutions and drive innovation in electrical systems. This role partners with engineering, sourcing and manufacturing to apply design-to-cost practices across the product development cycle. What You'll Do
- Realize estimations of the technical cost of parts/systems defined by the electrical engineering team.
- Support the electrical engineering team in adopting a design-to-cost approach.
- Participate in the creation of target costs.
- Support the sourcing team in negotiations with suppliers.
- Apply or develop methodologies to calculate the technical cost of electrical components/systems throughout the product development cycle.
- Apply or develop cost analysis methods for electrical components/systems.
- Propose improvements to the design or manufacturing process to reduce technical costs.
- Promote a cost-conscious culture within the engineering team.
- Provide detailed cost breakdowns of components to support the sourcing team during negotiations. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in costing engineering, innovation departments, or electrical engineering.
- Strong competencies in costing methodologies.
- Proficiency in French and English (both fluent).
- Ability to travel as required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Nice to Have
