A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Procurement Digital AI Champion, you will accelerate procurement digitalization and applied AI adoption across local and global teams, this role addresses a critical business need within Siemens Energy's Project Procurement Operations in Romania. Operating at a senior professional level, the position focuses on driving efficiency, innovation, and value-focused automation within end-to-end procurement workflows. To address these business aims, this role focuses on portfolio management, business translation, solution delivery, governance, and user enablement. These core areas ensure that digital and AI use cases are systematically identified, securely developed, rigorously governed, and successfully adopted to deliver measurable business value.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Identify, assess and prioritize procurement pain points, automation opportunities and AI use cases based on business value, feasibility and strategic alignment, while maintaining a transparent digital roadmap and backlog aligned with the Procurement transformation agenda and S4E environment.
- Map end-to-end procurement processes and translate business requirements into detailed user stories, functional specifications and data requirements to support fit-for-purpose digital solutions.
- Develop, configure and refine digital solutions using approved low-code/no-code, analytics, automation and AI capabilities, coordinating prototypes, proofs of concept, MVPs and scalable releases with cross-functional teams, citizen developers and IT partners.
- Apply grounding, verification, logging and human-in-the-loop controls for generative AI and agentic workflows to ensure reliable and controlled execution.
- Ensure compliance with AI governance, information security, data privacy and enterprise architecture standards throughout the solution lifecycle, while defining, tracking and reporting adoption, quality, reliability and business value KPIs.
- Facilitate change management and training initiatives, building data and AI literacy across local and global procurement teams to drive successful adoption and continuous improvement of digital solutions.
What You Bring
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, Data/AI, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Procurement
- Strong professional experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations digitalization, with a proven track record of delivering digital or AI-enabled solutions
- Experience coordinating cross-functional and multicultural stakeholders in a global organization, managing initiatives independently.
- Strong background in procurement processes (P2P), hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms, AI technologies, and agile product management.
- Strong digital and AI technology expertise, including applied Generative AI (prompt engineering, RAG concepts and responsible AI), automation and low-code/no-code development, AI agent workflows and orchestration, human-in-the-loop verification, and awareness of integration and enterprise architecture concepts such as APIs, connectors and cloud platforms.
- Strong stakeholder and change management capabilities, including influencing without authority in global, cross-functional environments, training delivery, IT service and lifecycle management, support models, incident handover and documentation, with strong problem-solving, learning agility and an ability to drive innovation.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
