About the Role Slalom is seeking a Senior Principal or Director within our Cloud-Build capability in the Americas. You will operate as part of a broader go-to-market leadership network, driving sales, delivery, and client outcomes across product engineering and cloud modernization, and you must live within commutable distance from the Detroit office. What You'll Do
- Align regional or country-wide capability strategies with market needs as a subject matter expert and thought leader.
- Collaborate with clients and industry partners to identify opportunities; support and develop a go-to-market team; contribute to delivery through billable roles with utilization targets; partner with leadership to achieve revenue goals and address capability challenges.
- Tailor capability strategy to market needs (Capability Vision and Strategy) and ensure Product Engineering and Cloud capabilities align with desired client outcomes.
- Engage in billable client delivery roles, ensuring high-quality outcomes in product engineering and cloud modernization.
- Ignite awareness and demand for Product Engineering and Cloud offerings through campaigns, RFIs, RFPs, workshops, and POCs; build relationships across target and active client portfolios; speak at external conferences and events as a Capability SME.
- Build and sustain relationships across target and active client portfolios; create demand by proactively seeking speaking opportunities within the geographic market.
- Partner with client and sales leaders to identify technology-led opportunities; participate in multi-capability solutioning and outcome-based selling motions; collaborate on growth projections and revenue forecasts; identify capability health challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Own the portfolio of sales and revenue for this capability within the market.
- Participate in hiring, staffing, and workforce planning rhythms for market and/or capability teams.
- Lead and develop teams through direct and indirect reporting relationships to scale go-to-market impact.
- Provide performance feedback on Capability team members supporting pursuits and delivery. What We're Looking For
- Deep technology delivery and leadership experience, with a passion for building teams and client partnerships; skilled as both a strategic leader and hands-on practitioner with expertise in product engineering, cloud operations, AI-accelerated engineering, and large-scale delivery models.
- Core Expertise:
- Cloud & Modern Operations: experience with modern operations (SRE) and working with AWS, Microsoft, and Google to co-sell or deliver.
- Product Engineering: experience leading cross-discipline teams (Agile, Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, DevOps, UX).
- Accelerated Engineering with AI: deep understanding of how Generative AI is evolving the SDLC and maturing technology organizations.
- Team-Based Delivery at Scale: experience delivering engineering projects using scale-teaming models, including nearshore and offshore partners.
- Product Mindset: ability to work with customers to shape product strategy, roadmaps, and outcome-based results.

- Targeted base salary ranges: Director $220,000–$269,000; Senior Principal $193,000–$236,000. Annual discretionary bonus may apply.
