Description and Requirements

Job Description

Senior Principal, Informatica MDM

Job Title:

Senior Principal, Market Solutions

The Data Foundation team within our Enterprise capability helps bring holistic solutions to life for our clients. Informatica MDM is at the core of this, providing AI-ready data that allows our solutions to unlock strategic initiatives and power better customer experiences.

As the Senior Principal, Informatica MDM, you will shape and deliver Informatica IDMC solutions. You will guide clients from strategy and architecture through implementation and adoption, while helping Slalom grow its broader IDMC capabilities. The role combines deep MDM expertise with practical experience across adjacent IDMC services, including Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC), Cloud Application Integration (CAI), and Cloud Data Integration (CDI).

What You’ll Do

  • Help grow Slalom’s Salesforce Data Foundation (MuleSoft + Informatica) partnership by supporting alliance conversations, go-to-market activities, and pre-sales initiatives as an Informatica champion.

  • Advise executive and business stakeholders on MDM strategy, operating models, governance, roadmaps, and investment priorities; connect master data outcomes to business goals and measurable value.

  • Design end-to-end IDMC solutions that bring MDM together with CDGC, CAI, CDI, and related data quality, metadata, lineage, and integration capabilities as client needs require.

  • Translate business and data requirements into secure, scalable target architectures and implementation plans spanning source systems, cloud data platforms, APIs, and consuming applications.

  • Lead discovery, assessment, and roadmap engagements; facilitate workshops; clarify data ownership and stewardship; and help clients establish governance-by-design and sustainable operating practices.

  • Provide senior technical oversight across delivery, including architecture reviews, estimates, delivery plans, quality controls, risk management, and decisions that affect scope, cost, or outcomes.

  • Enable Slalom’s MDM community of practice by sharing patterns and methods and contributing Informatica expertise to cross-platform MDM strategy and delivery.

  • Support go-to-market efforts by shaping solution offerings, responding to client needs, contributing to proposals and estimates, and serving as a trusted solution expert in strategic pursuits.

  • Develop reusable accelerators, reference architectures, implementation methods, and thought leadership; mentor senior consultants and architects and strengthen Slalom’s MDM community.

  • Lead solution architecture and delivery for Informatica MDM initiatives, including domain modeling, identity resolution, match and merge, survivorship, hierarchies, reference data, stewardship, data quality, and publishing or syndication patterns.

  • What You’ll Bring

  • MDM and Informatica expertise

  • 8+ years of experience in data management, data architecture, consulting, or technology transformation, including significant leadership of enterprise MDM initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of multi-domain MDM and the capabilities required to establish trusted records, including data modeling, match and merge, survivorship, hierarchy management, reference data, stewardship, governance, and data quality.

  • Demonstrated experience designing or delivering Informatica MDM solutions and a working understanding of IDMC. Experience with CDGC, CAI, CDI, and related IDMC capabilities is expected; depth may vary by capability.

  • Ability to assess platform and architecture options, explain trade-offs, and work effectively with vendor-agnostic teams and client environments that include multiple MDM or data platforms.

  • Consulting and leadership

  • Experience leading client-facing engagements from discovery and solution design through implementation, adoption, and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, and relationship skills; able to make complex data and architecture decisions clear to business and technical audiences.

  • Success contributing to business development, solutioning, scoping, estimation, proposals, offering development, or account growth in a consulting environment.

  • Ability to lead through influence, work across organizational boundaries, coach experienced practitioners, and maintain delivery quality in complex environments.

  • Preferred experience

  • Informatica certifications, or relevant credentials in data management, architecture, data governance, or cloud platforms.

  • Experience with cloud data platforms and ecosystems such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.

  • Experience in a regulated industry such as Financial Services or Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) is a plus but is not required.

  • About Us
