Senior Principal / Director - Capability Lead (Cloud-Build Software Engineering)

About the Role Slalom’s Cloud-Build Software Engineering discipline seeks a senior technical leader to architect and deliver large-scale software and cloud solutions. You will serve as a capability lead and trusted technical mentor, guiding delivery across multiple workstreams and shaping the build strategy for the South Central region in a hybrid environment near Nashville. What You'll Do

• Co-lead discovery and delivery phases alongside other capability leaders for complex projects and programs as the solution lead.
• Develop and execute implementation plans in alignment with features and functionality designed to delight clients and customers.
• Provide oversight and guidance for other software engineers across multiple workstreams on complex projects and programs.
• Lead and grow emerging software engineering leaders. Collaborate with other software development capabilities to iteratively design, develop, validate, and operate software at scale using agile techniques.
• Act as the capability lead as aligned to individual markets helping market leaders understand Slalom’s build strategy while providing pursuit support.
• Advance the craft by developing and sharing materials and thought leadership with other builders while providing space for other leaders to do the same.
• You will likely find yourself leading client delivery as the dedicated senior architect on some of our most complex engagements. What We're Looking For
• Deep expertise around a specific capability within software engineering; an architect among architects, with the ability to mentor technical leaders.
• Experience managing multi-level reporting structures and developing capability within the South Central region.
• Proven track record delivering complex engagements as a senior architect and leading client delivery.
• Ability to co-lead discovery/delivery and develop implementation plans that align with features intended to delight clients.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor other practitioners, develop materials and thought leadership, and foster space for others to contribute.
• Strong collaboration across capabilities, agile delivery experience, and the ability to design, develop, validate, and operate software at scale.
• Experience with market-facing activities and pursuing opportunities, including alignment with GTM strategies and client outcomes.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment and reside within commutable distance to Nashville. Nice to Have
• Experience with Generative AI tooling and copilots to accelerate delivery.
• Additional experience with GenAI-enabled workflows and modern cloud-native architectures.
