Job title: Senior Physical Verification Application Engineer
About the Role The Aerospace, Defense & Government (ADG) Senior Physical Verification Application Engineer supports Intel Foundry Services customers on layout verification and parasitic extraction, helping ensure successful tape-outs and delivering guidance on advanced verification methodologies.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive technical support to IDS customers on layout verification and parasitic extraction challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (customer design teams, IP providers, EDA vendors) to resolve verification issues across advanced CMOS processes (22nm and below).
- Develop application notes, documentation, and training materials for customers and internal teams; improve design kits and create best-practice guidelines for physical verification flows.
- Lead optimization of physical verification flows and methodologies (DRC, LVS, ERC, PERC); drive productivity and streamline customer workflows.
- Deliver customer-facing technical support and guidance for adoption of new process technologies, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: US Citizenship; ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance; Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM; 3+ years in advanced CMOS (22nm and below); 3+ years in layout verification and parasitic extraction EDA tools; 3+ years scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl, or shell).
- Preferred Qualifications: Active US Government Security Clearance (Secret level) or higher; Postgraduate degree; hands-on experience in LVS/DRC/ERC/PERC; experience with parasitic extraction tools (StarRC, Quantus, xACT) and with ICV, Calibre, Pegasus; rule-deck coding; customer-facing experience.
