Job Description
As an Applications & Systems Performance QA Engineer, you will be part of a motivated engineering team. You will be working on the Qualys’ "Next-generation Platform & Middleware". Working with a team of engineers and architects, you will be responsible for prototyping, designing, developing tools to benchmark middleware and platform. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a team building Qualys’ next generation Micro-Services based technology platform processing over a 100 million transactions and terabytes of data per day, leverage open source technologies, and work on challenging and business-impacting projects.
Role and responsibilities:

Strong hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance tools.

Experience in workload modeling, test planning, execution, and analysis.

Expertise in performance benchmarking, stress, load, endurance, and scalability testing.

Strong knowledge of application monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Dynatrace, or Splunk.

Experience in identifying bottlenecks across application, database, API, and infrastructure layers.

Good understanding of Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Experience with API performance testing and distributed systems.

Strong SQL and database performance analysis skills.

Ability to analyze JVM, memory, CPU, thread dumps, and GC behavior.

Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate with Dev, QA, SRE, and Product teams for performance improvements.

Exposure to production monitoring and performance tuning is preferred.

Good communication, ownership, and leadership skills.
