About the Role We are looking for a Senior People Partner for Product & Engineering to join Alloy’s People team as the dedicated partner for the Product and Engineering organization. This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, backfilled on a small, high-caliber team. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who uses data to inform people decisions and partners with leadership to raise the bar on people quality. What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary people partner for Product and Engineering leaders, translating business context into people decisions and surfacing signals to inform strategy.
- Coach and develop managers across your client group to build high-performing teams.
- Drive end-to-end performance management cycles: calibrations, feedback, growth conversations, and difficult conversations when needed.
- Own org health in your client group by tracking attrition signals, engagement trends, and team dynamics proactively.
- Partner with the broader People team on compensation cycles, workforce planning, and headcount modeling.
- Identify patterns across your client group and bring them back to the People team to shape programs and policies.
- Use AI as a core part of how you work, building repeatable workflows and helping leaders think about AI integrations.
- Partner with technical recruiters to support hiring plans, align on team needs, and ensure a smooth process from headcount decision to offer. What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of HRBP or People Partner experience, including at least one year supporting a technical organization (Engineering, Product, or similar).
- Experience managing at least one direct report with a track record of developing people.
- Ability to operate strategically at VP/Director level and hands-on in execution without requiring a coordinator.
- Strong analytical instincts and using data to inform your point of view.
- Excellent judgment on when to push, hold, or escalate; ability to distinguish between people issues and performance issues.
- Clear, direct communicator who writes as they speak.
- Experience in a high-growth company with evolving playbooks and the ability to build process without over-building it. Nice to Have
- Prior experience at a fintech, infrastructure, or B2B SaaS company.
- Exposure to People Analytics tools or comfort pulling data from an HRIS.
- Experience scaling through rapid headcount growth. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 155,000 to 175,000 per year. This role is eligible for equity in the form of stock options (ISOs).
