About the Role The Senior Patent/Litigation Analyst in Phoenix will perform tailored patent analyses and landscapes to support global business needs and help mitigate IP risk. You will report to the IP strategy lead in Helsinki and collaborate with IP team members across the US, Japan, Korea, Belgium, Finland, and the Netherlands, as well as technical and business units worldwide. The role requires on-site presence in Phoenix and travel to support the global IP footprint. What You'll Do
- Perform tailored patent analyses and landscape studies for global business needs
- Support IP risk mitigation and coordinate with global IP & licensing teams and stakeholders
- Report to the IP strategy lead (Helsinki) and collaborate with IP team members in the US, Japan, Korea, Belgium, Finland, and the Netherlands, plus technical and business units worldwide
- Work on-site in Phoenix, AZ, with travel to support the global footprint of the IP team
- Bridge technical analysis with litigation strategy by contributing to IPR filings, PTAB trial support, and related case work What We're Looking For
- Education: B.Sc. required; M.Sc. preferred in chemistry, materials science, physics or other relevant semiconductor engineering discipline
- J.D. with active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar and eligibility to obtain in-house registration in Arizona (if necessary)
- 3-6 years of legal experience supporting U.S. patent litigation; experience with IPR filings, PTAB trial support, written opinions, or patent infringement case support
- Foundation and desire to analyze patents/scientific information, tailor and compile analyses and claim charts
- Self-driven, autonomous with ability to work independently
- Strong ability to navigate IP and scientific information in a global, multicultural, dynamic, high-tech environment
- Familiarity with U.S. patent litigation procedures and ability to prepare technical materials for legal proceedings (claim charts, prior art for IPRs, deposition exhibits)
- Ability to explain complex topics to stakeholders with varying technical/business backgrounds; ability to ask the right questions to achieve outcomes
- Appreciation of diverse cultural backgrounds and ability to adapt working style accordingly

- Master’s degree in chemistry, materials science, physics, or other relevant semiconductor engineering discipline (preferred)
