Job title: Senior Patent analyst
About the Role As a (senior) Patent Analyst in ASM's European offices, you will conduct tailored patent searches, analysis and landscapes to support global business needs. You will work closely with the global IP team and product-site stakeholders, and may lead analysis or ideation projects depending on experience. You will report to the Global IP strategy lead located in Helsinki, Finland, with strong collaboration with IP teams in the US, Japan, Korea, Belgium, Finland and the Netherlands. What You'll Do
- Perform tailored patent searches, analysis and landscapes to support global business needs.
- Maintain close contact with the global IP team and product-site stakeholders.
- Present or lead analysis, communicate findings to stakeholders, and potentially drive ideation projects. Travel may be required to support the global IP footprint. What We're Looking For
- Education: Sc. degree in chemistry, materials/nanoscience, physics or relevant semiconductor engineering discipline (ideally Ph.D.). Registered new Patent Attorneys with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 7+ years in patent and technical literature searching; experience with patent search/analysis tools, including AI tools; ability to search/analyze data and tailor analyses to business needs; self-driven with high autonomy; interest in becoming an expert in semiconductor deposition.
- Skills: Able to search and navigate IP and scientific information in a global, multicultural, high-tech environment; able to analyze data sets and translate into tailored analyses; able to convey complex messages to diverse stakeholders. Nice to Have
- Registered new Patent Attorneys with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
