Job title: Senior Oracle Apps DBA

About the Role A Senior Oracle Apps DBA to manage Oracle E-Business Suite environments with focus on patching, backup/recovery, upgrades, and performance tuning. The role may be remote or in-office (hybrid) and will operate in either Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday shift schedules, reporting to the Manager – Oracle MS Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Perform Oracle EBS Applications DBA tasks including patching, backup/recovery strategies, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Maintain multi-node E-Business Suite with Shared File System; manage Concurrent Managers, Programs, Request Sets/Groups, Workflows, and troubleshoot Workflow Mailer/Notification issues.
  • Administer RAC with ASM/CRS, RMAN/Data Guard for backup and DR; monitor with OEM/Grid Control and OAM; use PL/SQL, Shell and Perl for automation.
  • Administer Oracle SOA Suite, Hyperion, OBIEE, and WebLogic Server to support ERP integrations with legacy systems.
  • Develop/adhere to database policies and SOPs, high availability, archiving, security; participate in HA and DR planning.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams; contribute to design/implementation of SOPs and performance tuning.
  • Analyze and tune performance for Oracle Database 12c/19c, WebLogic, JVM, SQL/PL/SQL.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of Oracle Apps DBA experience.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle EBS R12 administration (installation, configuration, cloning, upgrades) using AD utilities and patching tools.
  • Experience in multi-node EBS environment administering Concurrent Managers, Workflows, etc.; troubleshoot Workflow Mailer/Notification.
  • Expert Oracle 11g DBA skills including backup/recovery (RMAN), security, tuning, sizing, Linux OS.
  • Experience with multi-node Oracle RAC, ASM, CRS.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, shell, Perl automation; proactive monitoring using OEM Grid Control.
  • Knowledge of SOA Suite, Hyperion, OBIEE, WebLogic Server integration with legacy systems.
  • Strong written communication; ability to develop SOPs.
  • Design/implement HA and performance tuning for Oracle Applications Database.
  • Upgrading Oracle DB to 19c and EBS to 12.2.10.
  • Exposure to Oracle DBCS, Exadata; experience with public cloud OCI & AWS preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience installing/configuring/ administering Oracle Demantra.
  • Prior shift-work experience or ability to support on defined shifts.
