Job title: Senior Operations Manager
About the Role Oversee and manage resources and efficient processes for a large-complex distribution center operation. Lead day-to-day operations and establish procedures to ensure accurate shipments, current warehouse inventory, and consistent, high-quality order fulfillment.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day distribution center operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and loading of all customer orders.
- Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and maintaining current warehouse inventory.
- Lead and measure daily processes to ensure order fulfillment and production excellence.
- Support local sales representatives and sales leadership to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Respond to service failures and customer concerns; resolve complaints as registered through the OSI process.
- Support all human resources processes at the local facility (recruiting, performance management, compensation when necessary, and training/development); promote positive employee relations.
- Ensure safe practices, OSHA compliance, housekeeping, record keeping, and overall workforce safety.
- Manage exempt and non-exempt employee populations to achieve company goals and policy compliance.
- Oversee the financial aspects of DC operations by controlling expenses and preserving assets.
- Communicate effectively in group and individual settings; demonstrate leadership, writing, and presentation skills; maintain a high sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Navigate complex situations with multiple decision-makers; uphold integrity and positive employee relations.
- Management responsibilities include overseeing through multiple Managers/Supervisors, handling major projects/programs, budget responsibilities, and policy interpretation/applications; staffing, performance reviews, and development of staff.
What We're Looking For
- Education & Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of management experience leading and developing subordinates and engaging/supporting warehouse team members OR High School diploma/equivalent with at least 7 years of management experience with demonstrated abilities leading and developing subordinates and engaging/supporting warehouse teams.
- Preferred: Experience in a large distribution center environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to lead a fast-paced, high-demand operation; problem-solving and decision-making capabilities; high integrity and accountability.
- Ability to manage budgets, drive process improvements, and maintain compliance with policies and safety regulations.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a large distribution center environment is preferred (explicitly noted as a desirable qualification).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $116,000.00 - $174,000.00 annually; role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
