About the Role Senior Oncology Specialist at Amgen will serve as the primary clinical liaison to medical professionals within a defined territory and drive sales by communicating the clinical and economic benefits of Amgen's oncology portfolio. This field-based role focuses on patients with serious cancers and requires building relationships, executing territory plans, and delivering education.
What You'll Do
- Act as primary customer contact to provide current clinical knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, deliver branded sales messages, run planned programs, and achieve sales targets.
- Manage accounts, ensure product access, address reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Craft marketing strategies to drive sales, analyze sales activity and territory performance, and collaborate with the District Manager.
- Maintain passion for oncology, stay informed on industry and regulatory changes, and share best practices with colleagues.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/science, OR Associate degree and 6+ years, OR high school diploma and 8+ years.
- Preferred: oncology experience; 3+ years in sales/marketing within pharma/biotech/healthcare/medical devices; specialty experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology/inflammation; knowledge of neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge; life sciences or business degree; adaptability with core competencies: planning, knowledge, communication, results, relationships.
Nice to Have
- Oncology-specific experience and strong local market knowledge; advanced degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
