About this role
Senior Oncology Specialist will serve as the liaison to medical professionals by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products. This field-based role supports Amgen’s mission to serve patients with serious illnesses by delivering scientific and therapeutic insights to healthcare professionals.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary field-based scientific resource for customers in assigned territories, delivering product knowledge and clinical information to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Partner with field teams to implement strategy for oncology products and support programs, including patient access and education initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Amgen's oncology portfolio, clinical data, and competitive landscape to answer questions and provide clinical context.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Amgen policies while engaging with customers.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (e.g., PharmD, RN, MSN, MS)
- Oncology therapeutic area knowledge with clinical experience
- Experience in field-based or equivalent medical/scientific liaison role
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; ability to translate scientific data into practical insights
- Willingness to travel within assigned geography
- Must be able to work independently in a field-based role
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with Amgen products or similar oncology therapies
- Experience with sales or market access programs
- Knowledge of payer landscape and patient support programs
