Senior Officer
Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day EHS activities and ensure compliance with established safety procedures and statutory requirements.

Conduct safety induction, refresher training, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Monitor workplace activities and ensure compliance with PPE requirements, safe work practices, and permit-to-work procedures.
-
Manage contractor safety, including induction, document verification, work-area inspection, and compliance monitoring.
-
Conduct routine safety inspections, workplace audits, and hazard-identification exercises across operational areas.

Support Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment activities and ensure appropriate risk-control measures are implemented.

Coordinate safety committee meetings, prepare meeting records, and follow up on agreed action points.

Record and investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to identify root causes.
-
Ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions arising from audits, incidents, inspections, and risk assessments.
-
Monitor high-risk activities such as hot work, work at height, confined-space entry, lifting operations, and electrical maintenance.

Inspect fire and safety equipment and coordinate periodic testing, preventive maintenance, and readiness checks.

Support emergency preparedness activities, including mock drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency-response training.

Maintain EHS documentation, inspection records, training records, incident reports, safety permits, and compliance trackers.

Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Administration, Security, and other departments on safety-related matters.

Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits and ensure EHS documents and systems remain audit-ready.

Promote proactive reporting of safety observations, near misses, and workplace hazards.
-
Drive safety campaigns, behavioural safety programmes, and employee-engagement initiatives.
-
Track EHS performance indicators and support continuous improvement in safety performance.
-
Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employees to take ownership of workplace safety.
