Senior Network Engineer

About the Role The Senior Network Engineer reports to the Network Communications Manager and collaborates with Technology Managers to deliver and maintain global network infrastructure. The role encompasses design, implementation, operation, and leadership across WAN, LAN, WLAN and Voice networks to ensure availability, capacity, security, and knowledge transfer across the technology team. What You'll Do

• Define strategies, directions and progression plans for assigned technology platforms and services.
• Design, implement and maintain the firm's WAN, LAN, Enterprise Wireless (WLAN) and Voice networks in a multi-region environment.
• Assist in the design, planning, implementation, commissioning and decommissioning of proposed solutions, advising on compatibility, security and availability.
• Complete regular audits and document the infrastructure (topology diagrams, IP lists, asset lists) as required.
• Provide input to disaster recovery plans and support during disaster recovery tests.
• Advise on availability and capacity issues related to the network infrastructure.
• Contribute information for periodic reviews with 3rd party vendors to ensure compliance with processes, procedures, and SLAs.
• Author and maintain documentation related to networks services, such as topology diagrams, IP lists, asset lists.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors as required.
• Assist in developing various annual program portfolio components and associated budgetary proposals.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to technology team members to transfer knowledge across the team.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key technology providers; maintain current technical knowledge to help the firm. What We're Looking For
• Demonstrated technical leadership across a broad range of technology areas, with the ability to drive best-practice implementations firm-wide.
• Design, implement and maintain WAN, LAN, Enterprise Wireless (WLAN) and Voice networks in a multi-region environment.
• Experience in design, planning, implementation, commissioning and decommissioning of solutions; advising on compatibility, security and availability.
• Proficiency in regular audits and documentation (topology diagrams, IP lists, asset lists) and involvement in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Knowledge of availability and capacity issues related to the network infrastructure; capacity planning.
• Experience liaising with 3rd party vendors and managing SLAs.
• Mentorship and coaching capabilities to transfer knowledge within technology teams.
• Ability to establish strategic relationships with technology providers and maintain current technical knowledge. Nice to Have
