About this role

About the Role The Senior Network Engineer will be part of the global Network Communications team, reporting to the Network Communications Manager. They will provide technical leadership, design and implement WAN/LAN/WLAN/Voice networks across multiple regions, manage lifecycle and capacity, and ensure availability and security of the firm's network platforms. What You'll Do

  • Define strategies, directions and progression plans for assigned technology platforms and services.
  • Design, implement and maintain WAN, LAN, WLAN and Voice networks in a multi-region environment.
  • Assist in design, planning, implementation, commissioning and decommissioning of proposed solutions, advising on compatibility, security and availability.
  • Complete regular audits and document infrastructure as required.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery plans and support DR tests.
  • Advise on availability and capacity issues of the network infrastructure.
  • Provide data for periodic reviews with 3rd party vendors to ensure compliance with processes, procedures and SLAs.
  • Author and maintain documentation for networks services (topology diagrams, IP lists, asset lists).
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors as required.
  • Assist in developing annual program portfolio components and associated budget proposals.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to technology team members to transfer knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key technology providers.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge to support the firm. What We're Looking For
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing and maintaining WAN/LAN/WLAN/Voice networks in a global/multi-region environment.
  • Strong technical leadership across a broad range of technology areas and ability to set roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to manage capacity, availability, security, and change control for network platforms.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and DR testing.
  • Excellent documentation skills (topology diagrams, IP lists, asset lists) and ability to create and maintain network-related documentation.
  • Vendor management and ability to liaise with 3rd party providers; establishing strategic relationships with technology vendors.
  • Mentorship and coaching capabilities to transfer knowledge across the technology team.
  • Strong collaboration with IT teams, end-users and managers, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Willingness to stay current with evolving networking technologies.
