About the Role Senior Network Engineer for Atos Public Safety’s Next-Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) solution. The role focuses on deploying secure voice networks and ensuring high availability for public safety agencies as part of Atos Public Safety.
What You'll Do
- Configure and deploy Cisco routers, switches, SD-WAN and VXLAN according to predefined standards in a voice environment to support NG9-1-1 services.
- Maintain 99.999% uptime by monitoring performance, troubleshooting outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on optimization.
- Provide 2nd or 3rd level support on incidents and service requests.
- Deploy and configure network devices based on designs and standards; produce and maintain technical and procedural documentation.
- Knowledge of NG911 topology and associated equipment; participate in network planning, engineering, and architecture processes.
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing security policies.
What We're Looking For
- In-depth knowledge of security requirements for deploying voice solutions in the field.
- Experience configuring the following platforms in IPv4 and IPv6 environments: Cisco SD-WAN Versa, Cisco ISR and ASR Routing platforms, Cisco Nexus 9K Switching, Cisco Catalyst Switching, Cisco NG Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls.
- Operational experience in the network/voice environment and ability to apply high-level functional voice systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation methodologies to complex problems.
- Knowledge of NG911 topology and related equipment.
- Ability to participate in network planning, engineering and architecture processes and provide 2nd/3rd level support.
