This role requires a rare mix of high-level narrative framing, crisp executive-ready messaging, and hands-on editorial guidance. -
Capitalize on Emerging Trends: Proactively identify news cycles, industry trends, and topics where we can establish credible, high-impact thought leadership.
-
Multi-Audience Tailoring: Ensure storytelling frameworks effectively resonate with diverse stakeholder groups, from external policymakers and B2B clients to internal employee audiences.
Editorial Leadership & Governance
-
Set the Agenda: Partner with the VP, Content & Media Strategy to drive the week-to-week editorial calendar and maintain a steady pipeline of compelling content.
-
Elevate Content Quality: Provide hands-on editorial direction and constructive feedback to maintain high editorial standards, tone, and strategic coherence across all channels.
-
Build Reusable Tools: Develop editorial guidelines, narrative toolkits, and standardized messaging frameworks to empower cross-functional teams to produce consistent, high-quality content.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Continuous Improvement
- Executive Partnership: Collaborate directly with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to turn complex strategic ideas into clear, actionable editorial programs.
- Reputation Guardrails: Apply sharp editorial judgment when dealing with complex, sensitive, or high-stakes corporate topics.
- Refine & Optimize: Measure editorial effectiveness, capture cross-channel learnings, and continuously iterate Synchrony’s corporate storytelling playbook.
