About the Role The Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer will contribute to modeling and simulation efforts for programs at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) in Alexandria, VA. This role focuses on developing high-fidelity simulations to inform system design, analysis, and decision-making across multidisciplinary teams. What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain modeling and simulation tools and workflows.
- Translate system requirements into executable simulations and analyses.
- Run simulations, interpret results, and present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and program leads to inform design decisions. What We're Looking For
- Experience with modeling and simulation in engineering contexts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have
- Familiarity with common simulation tools and programming languages (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++).
