About the Role Senior Microbiologist at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD. You will contribute microbiology expertise to engineering microbes, lead projects, and culture microbes in support of national security initiatives. What You'll Do
- Engineer microbes and lead projects
- Culture microbes and perform related laboratory tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance microbiology initiatives What We're Looking For
- PhD in microbiology or related field
- 1+ year designing and running biological assays
- Experience culturing bacterial species
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA, qPCR, plate-reader, microscopy)
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret and TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required Nice to Have
- Familiarity with qPCR, plate reader, and microscopy technologies Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $105k-$290k per year
