About the Role

Join Logitech's Gaming Engineering organization as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. You will lead the mechanical design and development of gaming projects, translating user needs into product specifications and delivering designs that scale to mass production. This role offers collaboration within a dynamic R&D center and opportunities to shape cutting-edge gaming hardware.

What You'll Do

  • Lead new gaming product as project leader through feasibility, mechanical design, risk analysis, validation to ensure project goals, cost and schedule are met, and often exceeded.
  • Research, evaluate and synthesize factors from multiple sources to capture internal and external customer needs, craft technology solutions, communicate with stakeholders, achieve alignment, and manage NPI projects.
  • Independently resolve complex issues with minimal guidance across projects of diverse scope.
  • Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, internal and external customers to develop and refine the product mechanical design and development process from defining engineering specifications, through design, prototyping, qualification, to mass production.
  • Partner and collaborate with GPM, PM, ID, EE, CMF and other functions to achieve seamless product design and development.
  • May provide training, guidance and assist more junior staff members with aspects of their jobs.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in mechanical design and development of high-volume consumer electronic products.
  • Plus experience coaching junior ME to provide technical direction or guidance, and managing ME crisis.
  • End-user experience mind-set; self-motivated, passionate with high energy; good English communication (oral and written).
  • Master-level skilled in problem-solving and risk assessment.
  • Geometrical tolerancing knowledge; tolerance analysis and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of prototyping, materials, tooling and molding.
  • Master in CAD – Creo; Master in CAE – ANSYS.
  • Education: Bachelor or Master in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Cross-functional collaboration ability.
