• MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Provide senior materials management support for oil & gas operations, projects, maintenance, and drilling activities.

• Coordinate the planning, procurement, expediting, receipt, storage, preservation, and distribution of materials and equipment.

• Ensure required materials are available at the right time, quantity, quality, and location.

• Monitor material requirements and identify potential shortages or supply risks.

• Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, warehouses, logistics, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.

• Monitor inventory levels and support optimization of stock holdings.

• Ensure materials are properly identified, stored, preserved, and controlled.

• Support the management of critical and long-lead materials.

• Monitor supplier and contractor performance related to materials delivery.

• Ensure materials activities comply with company procedures, project requirements, and HSE standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review material requisitions, purchase orders, stock requirements, and material specifications.

• Coordinate material forecasting and requirements planning.

• Monitor procurement and expediting activities to ensure timely delivery.

• Track materials from purchase through manufacturing, inspection, shipment, receipt, and final delivery.

• Coordinate with warehouse teams on receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, and returns.

• Maintain accurate materials and inventory records using SAP, ERP, or other materials-management systems.

• Monitor surplus, obsolete, damaged, and slow-moving materials.

• Support materials reconciliation and inventory audits.

• Coordinate transportation and logistics for materials destined for field, offshore, or project locations.

• Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), certificates of conformity, packing lists, and other relevant documentation.

• Support customs clearance and import/export activities where applicable.

• Prepare materials status reports and highlight delays, shortages, and critical risks.

• Provide guidance and technical support to junior materials personnel.

• Ensure proper application of material codes, specifications, and inventory classification.

• Support project close-out, materials reconciliation, and final inventory handover.

• QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in materials management within the oil & gas, EPC, construction, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial sector.

• Strong knowledge of materials planning, procurement, expediting, warehousing, inventory control, and logistics.

• Experience with SAP MM, ERP, or other materials-management systems.

• Knowledge of oil & gas equipment, spare parts, consumables, piping materials, mechanical equipment, and project materials is advantageous.

• Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors, warehouses, logistics providers, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Good understanding of materials documentation, inspection, preservation, and traceability.

• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.

• Ability to work effectively in onshore, offshore, warehouse, project, and field environments.
