Senior Marine Officer / Engineer
Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) was established in 1954 by ports Act (Cap 155 of the law of the Federation of Nigeria - amended 1999) as an operating port with the responsibility of providing all port services. It was initially responsible for two major ports in Lagos and Port Harcourt, and in 1969 became responsible for all other ports.
The Nigerian Ports Authority is also seeking suitably qualified professionals for the position of Senior Marine Officer/Engineer.
Qualifications: Applicants should possess a Class 2 Certificate of Competency (Deck). Candidates may also possess Chief Mate Unlimited or First Mate certification as specified in the recruitment requirements. Mandatory maritime certificates are required. A Seafarers Medical Certificate is also required. Age requirement: Applicants should be between 25 and 35 years of age. The position is classified under SSS 2 / GL 10.
