About the Role The Senior Manufacturing Scientist identifies, investigates, and resolves complex technical issues associated with current products while qualifying enhancements to existing products. This role ensures robust, compliant manufacturing processes and supports both ongoing operations and new product introductions. It partners with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment. What You'll Do
- Lead complex technical projects including product and site transfers, failure investigations/root cause analysis, and design changes/product enhancements
- Support validation activities related to process improvements, process characterization and optimization, and transfer of new products from development into commercial manufacturing
- Apply rigorous scientific problem-solving methods—structured investigations, hypothesis testing, and data-driven decisions
- Provide day-to-day manufacturing support with scientific and technical expertise to maintain robust processes, investigate failures/excursions, and ensure performance within specifications
- Design and execute experiments using advanced Design of Experiments (DoE) methodologies What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s with 3+ years OR PhD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly present data and influence decisions
- Ability to travel up to 10% Nice to Have
- Industrial experience in a regulated environment (medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology)
- Hands-on DoE, statistical analysis, and data interpretation
