Senior Manager -Technical & Projects

About the Role ETAP is seeking a Senior Manager - Technical & Projects in Mumbai to lead electrical power system consulting and engineering initiatives worldwide. You will oversee delivery of advanced power system studies using ETAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, and related tools, while guiding design reviews, troubleshooting, and client-facing deliverables. The role combines technical leadership with project management to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant electrical systems in diverse environments.

What You'll Do

• Lead and execute engineering studies in Power System Studies: load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient stability, relay coordination, arc flash, harmonic analysis, and renewable energy systems (solar, wind, and energy storage).
• Conduct Electromagnetic Switching Transient Studies and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI/EMC) studies.
• Address interference issues in complex electrical environments such as Oil & Gas plants and railways, using ETAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, or equivalent tools.
• Provide engineering recommendations for design, operation, and optimization of electrical systems, ensuring alignment with IEC/IEEE standards and client requirements.
• Review electrical systems including power distribution networks, industrial control systems, and renewable energy installations.
• Manage project scope and ensure timely deliverables within allocated man-hours; coordinate with global clients.
• Troubleshoot system trips, site incidents, and equipment failures; provide technical support to clients.
• Respond to technical queries from clients on project reports and deliver clear, accurate information; prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and workshops.

What We're Looking For

• Experience leading and executing power system studies; proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD, and CDEGS.
• Strong communication, organizational, and proactive project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with IEC and IEEE standards; prior experience with oil & gas or railway environments is a plus.
