Senior Manager Technical Analysis (Capital Markets Technology)

About the Role

The Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) team at Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Manager Technical Analysis to collaborate with business partners, operations, financial engineering, business analysts, architecture, and infrastructure. The role focuses on understanding business requirements and driving the analysis and design of quality technical solutions within GBME, with a mindset geared toward results, curiosity, and delivering scalable solutions. What You'll Do

• Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

• Ensure business specifications/requirements documentation is accurately prepared and comprehensive to support sizing/development efforts and as input to various project documentation.

• Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models as required.

• Participate in the development of detailed project plans, the monitoring of progress against planned objectives, the financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management.

• Work closely across GBME technology teams during all stages of the system development life cycle and bridge the gap between business and technology sides of the solution.

• Liaising between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.

• Build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues in Global regions.

• Support production issues and handle escalations during Release cycles as needed. What We're Looking For

• Experience and knowledge of business functions in operations and financial engineering, business analysis, architecture, or infrastructure.

• Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams.

• Experience with system development lifecycle and project planning.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, solutions architects, and business teams. Nice to Have

• Experience in Capital Markets technology domains.

• Familiarity with documentation artifacts such as BRDs, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models. Compensation & Benefits
