About this role
Apollo is seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Consulting to build and lead the operating system for the Solutions Consulting (SC) function. You will directly manage a team supporting Apollo's Enterprise and Mid-Market business, setting the standard for how the function operates across the full customer journey. You will stay closely connected to the field to contribute personally on the largest, most strategic accounts when it matters most, while collaborating on cross-functional projects across Sales, Enablement, Operations, Post-Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to shape how Apollo wins, retains, and expands its most strategic accounts.
Location: Hybrid in Austin or San Francisco, or Remote in the United States.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Hire, coach, and develop a team of Solutions Consultants to exceed sales targets, provide ongoing training and development, own career and performance management, and foster a culture of trust, ownership, clear goals, and continuous feedback. Model Apollo’s values in day-to-day coaching and decision-making.
- SC Function Strategy & Deal Execution: Enhance the SC operating system by building playbooks, tooling, capacity models, coverage plans, and enablement programs to deliver consistent performance at scale. Establish standards for discovery, demos, technical solution design, and deal strategy, including the use of AI to accelerate outcomes. Lead ongoing enablement on process changes, product features, and competitive collateral. Analyze deal and team performance data to drive improvements in the SC motion, improving win rates and time-to-value. Ensure pipeline and deal-coverage visibility across the team for Sales and cross-functional leadership.
- Cross-Functional & Cross-Department Leadership: Deliver OKR and QBR updates to keep leadership informed on SC performance and resourcing. Represent the voice of the customer and GTM in shaping GTM strategy, product roadmap priorities, and how Apollo wins and retains customers at scale. Partner with Onboarding and GTME leadership to ensure solutions drive adoption and mitigate post-sale risk.
- Mindset and Behaviors: Drive impact and innovation with bold ideas to shape how the SC function operates. Build leaders, not just teams, by owning the growth and trajectory of your team. Maintain focus on function-level outcomes, take responsibility for missed results, and push the team to improve. Thrive in a high-performing, cross-functional environment while staying authentic and aligning GTM, Product, and Marketing.
