About the Role The Senior Manager, Pharmacy oversees daily pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality patient care in alignment with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, SOPs, and best practices. They lead sterile and non-sterile compounding operations and provide strategic direction, mentorship, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to optimize medication management and drive innovations in pharmacy practice.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and manage daily pharmacy operations across assigned areas, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and SOPs.
  • Lead and oversee sterile and non‑sterile compounding operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant preparation of medications.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Safety teams to ensure compounding practices meet current regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards such as USP and USP .
  • Provide operational leadership to the Supervisor who manages daily drug compounding workflows, supporting efficient processes, proper staffing, and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to pharmacy staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control programs to maintain and improve pharmacy services, including compounding‑related quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, operational teams, research teams, nursing leadership, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication management, support patient safety initiatives, and implement new procedures or workflows.
  • Lead the development, standardization, and prioritization of pharmacy‑related content, such as policies, SOPs, protocols, guidelines, and order sets.
  • Lead and participate in departmental and institutional projects and committees affecting patient care, including technology implementations, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor key pharmacy metrics, manage budgets, and oversee resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost‑effective operations.
  • Develop both short‑term and long‑term goals for Pharmacy in conjunction with leadership.
  • Stay current on trends and developments in pharmacy practice, serving as a role model and mentor to staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy practice, including medication management, oncology therapeutics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide exceptional patient care.
  • Proficiency with healthcare IT applications such as Epic (Beacon/Willow) and pharmacy information systems.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to assess operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work within time constraints and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $188,400.00 - $200,900.00 per year.
