About the Role The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Systems Engineering - Automation will provide technical and administrative leadership to a team of Automation Engineers responsible for maintaining automation systems used in Amgen's Drug Substance manufacturing at North Carolina (ANC). The role focuses on Building Automation Systems (BAS/QBAS), Rockwell PLC platforms, Upstream Process Control Systems (PCS), and Clean Utility PCS, delivering reliable operations and strong KPI performance. What You'll Do
- Provide technical and administrative leadership to Automation Engineers accountable for administering and maintaining automation systems for Drug Substance manufacturing at Amgen North Carolina (ANC).
- Lead and supervise the design, deployment, and ongoing optimization of automation systems including BAS/QBAS, Rockwell PLC platforms, Upstream PCS, and Clean Utility PCS to support manufacturing operations.
- Ensure key performance metrics are met, drive continuous improvement, and develop the technical skills of team members.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, IT, and QA to support safe, compliant, and reliable operations and project delivery.
