Senior Manager, FFB Sourcing & Procurement

About the Role

  • They are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, FFB Sourcing & Procurement to lead the sourcing and procurement of Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) for its palm oil mills.
  • The successful candidate will develop and execute sourcing strategies, build and manage supplier networks, negotiate competitive commercial terms, and ensure consistent, high-quality FFB supply to maximize mill utilization and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement FFB sourcing strategies aligned with mill capacity and production targets.
  • Identify, onboard and manage FFB suppliers, including plantations, estates, aggregators, traders and independent producers.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and manage pricing, contracts and commercial terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and sourcing partners.
  • Monitor FFB availability, market prices, seasonality and competitor activities.
  • Work closely with Mill Operations and Logistics to ensure consistent and timely FFB supply.
  • Monitor FFB quality, supplier performance, rejection rates and quality-related deductions.
  • Provide market intelligence, supply forecasts and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards.
  • Track sourcing KPIs, procurement costs, supplier performance and opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Economics or a related field with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience in FFB sourcing, palm oil, agricultural commodities, procurement or plantation operations.
  • 3 – 5 years in a managerial / senior sourcing or procurement role.
  • Strong knowledge of the palm oil value chain and FFB procurement ecosystem.
  • Proven experience managing suppliers and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Experience working with palm oil mills, plantations, aggregators, traders or independent FFB suppliers is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, supplier relationship management and market analysis skills.
  • An established FFB supplier network is an advantage.
  • Professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain or a relevant agricultural discipline is an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate:

  • This role is suited to a commercially strong palm oil or agribusiness professional with deep knowledge of the FFB market, strong supplier relationships and the ability to balance price, volume, quality and mill capacity to achieve optimal sourcing outcomes.
