Job Description

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Manages the staff of the branch.

• Overseeing the control of mapping grade global positioning systems.

• Ensures that planning, estimating and allocation work is done.

• Manages hand plan preparation and the dealing in land legal matters.

• Management of survey, geographical information system projects and data administration.

• Controls contractual and professional appointments commissioned and ensure sound financial management of section.

• Manages the administration and financial management of technical support department engineering and data services branch.

• Information management.

• Administrative duties.

• Liaison with public, community leaders, contractors and other technical staff.

• Ensuring administrators, design and maintain a disaster recovery processes.

• Undertakes related assignments.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) or any other related and equivalent qualification.

• Registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC)/ ITESSA PLATO.

• Valid motor vehicle driving license.

• 6 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) or any other related and equivalent qualification.

• 7 Years relevant experience.
