Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs, Canada
What you will do

In this vital role you will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Affairs for the ELMAC region, comprised of Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Canada. This person will be part of the commercial affiliate that is responsible for delivering important and innovative medicines to patients.
Role responsibilities include strategic communications planning, execution and measurement; external communications, including media relations, digital media and social media; issues management and internal communications. The role will not have direct reports but will have local support from a public relations agency and will work closely with the Corporate Affairs strategic team in Portugal.
What you will do
- Combine Corporate Affairs technical expertise with a deep understanding of Canada’s business priorities as part of our mission to serve patients. Serve as a member of the affiliate Leadership Team, providing senior strategic counsel aligned to support these priorities, Amgen’s corporate reputation and the evolving market dynamics.
- Work within a matrixed organization as an enabling partner by collaborating with other functions, including Brand teams, Value, Access & Pricing, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Human Resources and other teams to deliver against the country’s key priorities.
- Work in close coordination with the newly established ELMAC Corporate Affairs strategic team based in Portugal by leveraging provided materials and localizing to country-specific needs and opportunities. Serve as an important member of the ELMAC Corporate Affairs team, proactively sharing insights
