About this role
Senior Manager, Co-Brand Growth Marketing - Samsung Galaxy Card
Position Summary
- Maximize marketing impact by developing an integrated communication strategy and marketing KPIs for the new product in accordance with the business and product strategy.
- Promote ongoing marketing communication by providing consistent goals and marketing direction to relevant marketing departments (PR, digital, media, campaigns, etc.).
Role and Responsibilities
Samsung Electronics America launched its first co-branded U.S. credit card with Barclays (issuer) and Visa (network) in July 2026. This role is strategically critical to scaling customer acquisition and driving account growth in the early phase of this newly launched business.
You will own the acquisition strategy, upper-and-mid funnel optimization, and CAC performance across Samsung’s powerful owned ecosystem and external channels. This is an orchestration and influence role: you will set the growth strategy, direct external agencies, navigate legal and compliance approvals, and influence internal Samsung channel owners to execute your roadmap. You thrive on driving commercial results through cross-functional leadership and matrix influence in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Growth Strategy & CAC Ownership: Own the acquisition strategy and performance targets up to application submission, optimizing budget allocation and CAC performance across owned and paid channels.
- Wallet-First Funnel Optimization: Maximize qualified application submissions by diagnosing funnel bottlenecks and executing testing roadmaps. Lead native, "wallet-first" growth journeys inside Samsung Wallet as our core conversion hook.
- Owned Ecosystem & Channel Influence: Design and run integrated campaigns across Samsung's owned footprint (Samsung.com, Shop App, owned social, email, push), influencing internal channel owners to secure premium real estate and align audience strategies.
- External Acquisition Expansion: Build and scale external acquisition channels, directing agency partners across paid media, affiliates, retail, and fintech partnerships to expand reach.
- Budget & Joint Marketing Fund Stewardship: Manage a complex acquisition budget, reallocating investments based on performance and maximizing the utility of Joint Marketing Funds (JMF) with Barclays and Visa.
- Partner & Compliance Alignment: Build trusted relationships with Barclays and Visa. Serve as the primary marketing contact to ensure all creative, campaigns, and promotional offers successfully navigate partner brand guidelines and legal/compliance reviews.
- Matrix Navigation & GTM Execution: Lead cross-functional go-to-market strategies for new card features and major enhancements, aligning Product, Finance, Analytics, and Legal teams across Samsung’s US and Korea offices.
Success in Your First Year
- Operating Rhythm: Establish a seamless campaign execution and legal approval workflow across Samsung, Barclays, and Visa.
- Funnel Lift: Deliver a measurable, high-quality increase in card application submissions while maintaining target CAC.
- Channel Expansion: Launch at least one new high-ROI acquisition channel or native wallet-conversion journey.
- Portfolio Scale: Achieve year-one approved-account targets through efficient allocation of JMF and Samsung marketing funds.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications
- 10+ years of growth, performance, or partner marketing experience, with a proven track record of managing substantial acquisition budgets and driving CAC efficiency.
- Expert IC Orchestrator: Proven ability to drive large-scale commercial results as an individual contributor by managing agency benches and leading through cross-functional influence rather than direct reports.
- Funnel & Analytical Rigor: Hands-on experience diagnosing funnel drop-offs, analyzing customer acquisition data, and designing multi-channel experimentation roadmaps.
- Influence & Executive Communication: Outsized stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust with financial partners, align matrixed internal departments, and present performance metrics directly to executive leadership.
- Agency & Partner Management: Exceptional skills in drafting agency briefs, directing creative/media strategies, and holding external vendors accountable for performance.
Preferred:
- Direct Credit Card or Regulated Fintech
Experience
-
Deep understanding of credit card marketing, co-brand card programs, or regulated consumer fintech/banking (including compliance processes and issuer/network dynamics).
-
Experience with digital wallet adoption or mobile-first financial product marketing.
-
Familiarity with marketing analytics, CRM platforms, and attribution tracking.
