Job title: Senior - Managed Accounting Services Advisory
About the Role The Senior - Managed Accounting Services Advisory at Baker Tilly leads client accounting deliverables and oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, and general ledger. You will ensure timely and accurate client communication and project delivery.
What You'll Do
- Deliver all aspects of accounting including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, and general ledger accounting
- Ensure timely and accurate client communication and deliverables
- Review payroll prior to processing and selected A/P transactions
- Setup and maintain schedules for property tax and insurance
- Performs periodic review and account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
- Prepare fixed asset depreciation schedules
- Monitor quality, verify information, and check work of department staff for accuracy
- Manage overall project needs, internal communication, training, and consultancy within budget
- Serve as main point of contact between Baker Tilly and client ensuring successful project delivery
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; real estate and/or property management strongly preferred
- Strong technology skill using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and QuickBooks required; Yardi, Intacct, NetSuite, and other cloud accounting tool experience preferred
- Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to approach complex tasks or problems creatively while knowing when to escalate critical issues to management
- Capabilities reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial and legal documents with an ability to respond to common inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or the business community
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Yardi, Intacct, NetSuite and other cloud accounting tools
